Piano Therapy Plus — ABA Therapy and Piano Instruction in Davie, FL

Piano Therapy Plus — Applied Behavior Analysis, ABA with a Twist

ABA therapy that addresses behavioral challenges while teaching essential piano skills.

WHY ABA AND PIANO?

Learning to Learn

Learning something new isn't always easy.

For some learners, challenges with attention, following directions, accepting mistakes, managing frustration, trying again when something is difficult, or adapting when things don't go as expected can get in the way of learning.

Part of the power of Piano Therapy Plus is learning how to learn.

The piano provides a natural and engaging setting for these challenges to occur. Rather than avoiding difficult moments, they become opportunities to teach the skills needed to work through them—to attend, communicate, cope with frustration, accept guidance, persist, and experience success.

A Skill That Enriches Life

The integration of ABA and piano instruction isn't just about learning piano—it's about using the piano as a bridge to meaningful behavioral, emotional, and cognitive growth.

The learner is working toward something meaningful. They aren't simply completing a therapy activity. They are learning to play the piano. Each new note, song, and skill provides another opportunity to practice, persist, experience success, and build a real skill they can be proud of.

Piano also offers something increasingly valuable—a screen-free activity that can enrich life beyond the therapy session. It can provide opportunities for creativity, enjoyment, accomplishment, and an engaging way to spend free time.

The goal is to create joy in learning while nurturing an enriching pastime that can last a lifetime.

OUR MISSION

Opportunities to Shine

At Piano Therapy Plus, we are dedicated to providing compassionate, individualized ABA therapy that addresses behavioral challenges while teaching meaningful piano skills.

Our program helps learners develop positive learning habits by replacing challenging behaviors with skills that support learning—both at the piano and in everyday life.

Our approach supports self-esteem and resilience while giving learners opportunities to experience progress, accomplishment, and pride in developing a skill of their own.

By combining the power of ABA with piano instruction, Piano Therapy Plus helps learners engage with others, overcome challenges, and discover opportunities to shine—both in the therapy room and beyond.

We specialize in supporting individuals with autism, ADHD, developmental differences, and behavioral challenges.

Parents Are Part of the Process

Parents and caregivers remain in the therapy room during Piano Therapy Plus sessions and are an important part of the process. This provides an opportunity to observe ABA strategies in real time and see how challenges are addressed as they naturally occur during learning.

Throughout the session, parents can observe, ask questions, and learn from the strategies being used. When appropriate, strategies can also be modeled and discussed, helping parents understand ways to support communication, coping, flexibility, persistence, and other skills outside of the therapy room.

Ongoing communication provides opportunities to discuss progress, challenges, and strategies that may be helpful in everyday situations. The goal is to provide consistency and help skills developed during Piano Therapy Plus extend beyond the piano and into daily life.
